STYLE FILE: dots and denim

At the moment I have a serious polka-dot and denim obsession. It's actually getting quite out of hand. Every shop I venture into that has some form of denim dress, I have to try it on... No matter how plump I am feeling or how empty my bank account is, dots and denim draw me in, like some kind of crazy cigarette smitten character would be drawn to a fridge full of cola and iced coffee. A recent mini-vacay to Melbourne didn't really help this either... considering almost every second fashionista is sporting the newest form of denim overalls from their fave retail super mall. Just take one look at my style board on pinterest, and you will realise what I am talking about.

Lately

Wow, where has time gone these past few months? I have no idea in the slightest, that's for sure. Lately my time has been consumed with weekly 21sts, working, uni-ing and finding time in between for everything else, (no wonder my blogging has taken a back-seat). In between the madness, I did find some time to take a little trip to Melbourne however, which was such a good break. Four days of goodness to sooth the soul was seriously perfect. Before Melbourne I feel like my motivation had dwindled considerably compared with a few months prior, although I can now say that - I'm back baby! Motivation for living the healthy lifestyle I am ultimately aiming for is back in full swing, I am writing for a magazine again - we're no longer Luna, but XXIV magazine instead! Re-launched and ready to get myself back into it 100%. My music goals are on track, with a few new covers under the belt and a new appreciation for a few prog rock greats, (thank you university for actually providing an elective that is super-duper awesome), and finally - my motives for living life to the full are stronger than evaaaaah.

Celebrations

Two weeks ago - the week that my best friend turned 21. It's still so strange to think we are all grown up now (because it certainly doesn't feel like it!), but we had a really fun night at her 21st! Cannot wait for the many amazing times to come with this girl.

Becca Stadtlander is someone I stumbled across recently on pinterest, and have been obsessed ever since. She is an illustrator based in the U.S and her drawings are just exquisite! As soon as I have some expendable cash, I will for sure be purchasing some of her amazing work. Time flys by when you're having fun

I seriously can't believe that it has been almost TWO WHOLE MONTHS since I got home from Europe. A third of the time I spent over there, it has just gone so ridiculously fast. I don't really have too much to write about at the moment because lets be honest, since returning home nothing can really compare to the time I spent overseas! The first week of being home was great I have to say. I jumped straight back into everything, it was absolutely amazing weather (although I was sweating out every possible bead of H20 in my system - it was so hot), and I loved being back home with my family. I also worked and went to WOMAD which was pretty cool. I was so much back into my routine the first day I didn't really have time for jetlag. Don't get me wrong, I was extremely tired but it was all good, just powered through, ya know!

The next few weeks were not so good. Lets just say that the Europe blues hit me, and hard. It was a pretty horrible few weeks, but the last month has been much, much better. I don't feel as home sick (home being England - oh how the table has turned!) and although I still miss my friends overseas, I am getting back to my old self so it seems! I think I'll leave you with some snaps of my latest Adelaide escapades. Plenty more to come once I have some dollah dollah bils yo.
